I write not to write beautifully but to release, express and develop raw ideas.
Not to publish something that is perfect, a masterpiece, or totally defensible, but to publish and release.
Some of the best articles don’t have an end in mind, they are exploratory.
Montaigne's essayer, "to try";
Didion said she wrote to find out what she was thinking
But in some way volume is how you get good.
Writing 10,000 articles and you’ll have data - you’ll know what works and it will be much easier to publish one more time.
So in some way this blog is my workshop and I’ll refine and improve later.
